1909 Henry Hudson Gold Dollar HK-371 Rarity 7 PCGS MS67

A flawless matte-finish example of this rare gold variant. Listed as Rarity-7 (11 to 20 known) in the 2008 revision of the Hibler-Kappen classic reference. A Thomas Elder issue made to commemorate the Hudson-Fulton exposition held in Elder's state of New York. (Elder's medals were cataloged by Tom DeLorey in the June and July 1980 Numismatist.) From these dies, pieces were struck in gold, silver, bronze, and aluminum.
