1875 California Gold $1.00 BG-1127 Octagonal Large Head Indian NGC MS63PL
This is an attractive near-Gem example of one of the slightly more plentiful octagonal gold dollar varieties produced by Christopher Ferdinand Mohrig of San Francisco in 1875. The strike is slightly soft in the centers, as always, though the field-motif contrast is pleasing. Medium green-gold color blankets both sides.
